She got nerfed multiple times in a row. Specifically the last nerf to her Tibbers was what killed her competetive viability. Tibbers got his base health nerfed, his bonus health scaling with ap nerfed by 25% and his bonus resistances scaling with ap completely removed.

Tibbers used to just be a 6th member on the team that was beefy as shit and gave really big dps and was really hard to deal with in late game teamfights because he either one shot your backline if annie flash ulted them or slowly melted with how overpowered his interaction with liandries and rylais was.

People are saying Annie would struggle in a meta against Azir/Ori which is completely untrue. Mage vs mage matchups are never interactive in pro without jungle interferrence and her trading patterns were decent regardless because her passive was a massive deterrent and her E made it so she procced first strike no matter what. Annies laning is completely irrelevant when she has pisseasy jungle setup and auto wins any 2v2s
