Yeah this is just drama for people to eat up and keep themselves engaged. When there isn’t much news, the news becomes the same quality as 17 magazine.

Steelers and Browns are bad teams? What are you smoking?
Having a QB is good and all, but we need a whole team to elevate them. Rather not be the next Chargers who still lose with a good QB.
Win out. I want some games to look back on fondly from this season. Drafts are too variable to bank our season on.
EB to HC talk would be no different from the Snyder days. With a focus on analytics, there is no way our new front office would promote him based on what he has shown.
Should’ve gone for 2.
Fuck that blows. Hope it isn’t too serious.
Dumb take. We are perennial underdogs, but Ron has certainly prepared us well for many games. He’s also not prepared us well for a bunch of other games.
I’ll always appreciate the win against the Bucs in '21 and against the Eagles in '22. The small winning streaks that we went on with TH as our QB were magical, even if they didn’t end up with playoff runs.
Heck, even this year, we played the Eagles evenly. One play was the difference in each of those games.
Not saying he’s been amazing or anything to keep him, but you would have to have the memory of a goldfish to not remember the games we punched way above our weight.
He’s fine, but he hasn’t been consistent enough with the offense. I’d be hesitant to promote him just for Sam to learn under a new OC (and def don’t think EB should be the HC and OC at the same time).
I’m hyped as the next guy for Sam, but this isn’t as big of a deal as people are acting. Sam has played one more game than 3/4 players on this list (Stroud, Tua, Goff).
Product of a late bye. Hopefully he maintains this possession until the end of the season.
Fuck yeah
Commanders are low key 1 play away in 4 different games of being 8-2.
Too many people act like it is logical to hope your team loses every game in the hopes that magically the first pick of the draft will change everything. Enjoy the game while its on, move on with your life after it is over, whether we win or lose.
It’ll be cool if we win some games, but no one’s life changes based on how the team does (unless they work for the team).
Yes, nothing has shown me that this is EB-specific yet and not just a product of Sam Howell being a good QB. Even in the final game last year against Dallas, Sam played well.
Everyone is hyping up the fact that he was the OC for the Super Bowl winning Chiefs while also forgetting that he didn’t call plays there. He could still be good, but this season has not been a clear improvement warranting a promotion to head coach either here or elsewhere.
Glad to see this take. People seem to have forgotten the first three quarters and focus on the last.
With that said, the offense showed up when it needed to and the defense did not. So I can understand why the criticism is there.
If we can have a game where both sides show up in all 4 quarters, we are legitimate contenders. But that may be a while…
Agreed. We can compete with anyone. We beat Philly if Ron challenged.
With that said 4-6 with a first year QB is not the worst. Pretty sure this is similar to Jalen’s 2021 for Philly.
This was a game where one play different would have changed everything. These teams are quite evenly matched. I think we win if it’s in DC.
Everyone wants to shit on the defense and praise Howell/EB, but the defense showed up in the first half by preventing TDs. Offense scores the TD on the first drive but was anemic for a number of others until the 4th quarter.
Don’t get me wrong, we do need better play from the defense absolutely. But we also cannot be turning the ball over. I think we win if Sam doesn’t fumble since that was a likely scoring drive. We also likely can win if the refs didn’t throw soft penalties and if NY didn’t call in to eject Forbes.
Love what I’m seeing from Sam, but he also still has bonehead mistakes he needs to fix. Get down quick, don’t turn the ball over.
Slyes miss sucked but it wouldn’t have changed anything. He hit some beauties later on too.
He’s gonna get his first pick six covering AJB in the NFC conference championship.
Calling it here folks.
Yeah there are plenty of scenarios. This is a team that just got blown out by Baltimore, not the defending champions.
Kam is a fun player to watch! Didn’t realize he and AG are quite close. They are draft buds after all.
Definitely understand it has a lot to do with the amount of pass plays EB calls, but this is still quite incredible considering he is a first year starter.
Not bad company to be around at all.
I remember he made some catches that I hadn’t seen since Moss. Made me realize how bad our receiving corps was prior to him arriving (though Garcon was great for possession).
