  • Dumb take. We are perennial underdogs, but Ron has certainly prepared us well for many games. He’s also not prepared us well for a bunch of other games.

I’ll always appreciate the win against the Bucs in '21 and against the Eagles in '22. The small winning streaks that we went on with TH as our QB were magical, even if they didn’t end up with playoff runs.

Heck, even this year, we played the Eagles evenly. One play was the difference in each of those games.

Not saying he’s been amazing or anything to keep him, but you would have to have the memory of a goldfish to not remember the games we punched way above our weight.

  • Too many people act like it is logical to hope your team loses every game in the hopes that magically the first pick of the draft will change everything. Enjoy the game while its on, move on with your life after it is over, whether we win or lose.

It’ll be cool if we win some games, but no one’s life changes based on how the team does (unless they work for the team).

  • Yes, nothing has shown me that this is EB-specific yet and not just a product of Sam Howell being a good QB. Even in the final game last year against Dallas, Sam played well.

Everyone is hyping up the fact that he was the OC for the Super Bowl winning Chiefs while also forgetting that he didn’t call plays there. He could still be good, but this season has not been a clear improvement warranting a promotion to head coach either here or elsewhere.

  • This was a game where one play different would have changed everything. These teams are quite evenly matched. I think we win if it’s in DC.

Everyone wants to shit on the defense and praise Howell/EB, but the defense showed up in the first half by preventing TDs. Offense scores the TD on the first drive but was anemic for a number of others until the 4th quarter.

Don’t get me wrong, we do need better play from the defense absolutely. But we also cannot be turning the ball over. I think we win if Sam doesn’t fumble since that was a likely scoring drive. We also likely can win if the refs didn’t throw soft penalties and if NY didn’t call in to eject Forbes.

Love what I’m seeing from Sam, but he also still has bonehead mistakes he needs to fix. Get down quick, don’t turn the ball over.

Slyes miss sucked but it wouldn’t have changed anything. He hit some beauties later on too.
