This sub never ceases to amaze me.

They know people will prefer it and not want to play 5v5… lol
Yeh I lost a good 300~ hours playtime from OW1
I really don’t understand why they aren’t just applying the sleep dart treatment (making them less effective against tanks) to other abilities like anti-heal, discord orb, hinder, hack, etc.
If they’re such a big deal against tanks, why not just make them less effective against tanks and that’s it? Why make them less effective against the other roles that they weren’t an issue against in the first place?
The Blizzard balancing team obviously does not understand their own game and it shows. They should get input from people who actually play the game.
Lifeweaver’s tree is made from mixing nature with technology (biolight), so it’s entirely possible that it’s a form of tech that not even Sombra is familiar with, since Lifeweaver invented it and refused to sell it to anyone. So that makes sense to me.
It would kind of make sense if EMP ‘withered’ the tree, making it smaller and heal less, but not completely destroy it, since it’s half tech and half nature. That would be cool.
Sombra being able to cancel ults that have nothing to do with technology by hacking them, such as Cass’s high noon, or Sigma’s gravitic flux.
What is she doing? Hacking their brains, making them temporarily unable to function? Do all OW heroes have chips implanted in their fuckin brains?
It’s not just ults either. Hack shouldn’t affect any ability that has nothing to do with tech. But if they did that, it’d be useless.
It just seems like a really lazily designed ability that makes no sense.
Unrelated but has anybody else noticed that the Lego Bastion skin actually gives people a *significant* advantage sound-wise especially in turret form because he makes *far* less noise? His shooting in general is also far less noisy and noticeable.
I’ve had Lego Bastions roll up right behind me in turret form and I didn’t even hear them. Shit is wild.
The automated systems are all broken.
I had the name ‘Wifeleaver’ manually set by a Game Master (Blizzard support). 3 days later it was ‘flagged as inappropriate’ and I was forced to change it. I then had it manually changed back to ‘Wifeleaver’ by another Game Master. Then literally 30 minutes after that, it was flagged as being inappropriate *again* and changed.
Even Blizzard knows that half of these automated punishments are unwarranted, but they will never get rid of them because it’s less work for them to keep them there.

Just then I had a game where my DPS were getting rolled and feeding every fight and we lost hard.
Then the very next match I versed them and they played significantly better all-around. But we won still.
I think the biggest factor is the tank. If you have a tank that knows what they’re doing, the rest of the team can all play to the fullest. But if you have a tank that acts like they have 5000hp and W keys in every fight and dies, the rest of the team has to compensate and can’t play their roles effectively.
The tank is the most important player on the team by far, so if they’re lacking, so will the rest of the team. That’s the main reason I don’t like playing tank, because there’s way too much pressure on me to perform well and I don’t like that.
Bring back 6v6 fr. The stress alone of being the only tank player is enough for most tank players to play bad. If I had another tank to back me up, I’d feel far more confident in my plays.
It took Bogur 300~ games and 150~ wins to get to Masters as Mercy. After that it took him about 15 wins to get into GM. It’s pretty insane how much she relies on competent players to get wins. In the lower ranks he had to be a Battle Mercy in pretty much every team fight.
This is half the reason I sigh and pretty much accept the loss whenever I see a Mercy on my team in Plat games. Unless if you have a god of a DPS/Tank on your team, it’s pretty much a guaranteed L, and being the other support, I’m pretty much forced to try and pump out as much damage as possible to make up for her lack of damage. 90% of Mercy’s in Plat will end a game with 0-500 damage total, and a lot of them don’t even pull out their Glock when they get jumped/are the last ones standing… the just accept fate and die.
Tank - Doom/Ball
DPS - Widow/Genji
Support - Mercy/Lucio
All of the above are either absolute menaces or providing zero value. There’s no in-between.
I feel like Pharah suffers quite a bit more because the DPS can focus more on her instead of the tanks, hell even the supports can focus you more. I used to have a great time playing her in OW1 but in OW2 it feels like the second people switch to counter you, you just get melted constantly. If the other team even has one competent hitscan you either have to switch off her or play super cautiously and barely get any value out of her.
My OG main and first hero I got gold on and now I barely ever play her. Sucks.
I was trying to get into plat from Gold 1 on support.
First rank up I went 5-0 and went from gold 1 to… gold 1.
2nd rank up I went 5-1 and went from gold 1 to… gold 1.
The game really didn’t want me getting into Plat.
Oh, and then I went 5-3 and went straight back to gold 1. So that’s nice.
My mistake was getting the Gold weapon for him when he was good. Not even 2 weeks later they nerfed him and I haven’t touched him since. Easily one of the worst DPS now. Really glad I grinded for weeks to get his gold weapon.
It’s not your job to counter Orisa. Your supports can go Ana and anti her, or your DPS can go 76/Bastion and melt her from range, for example.
Idk why everyone thinks it’s the tanks job to counter the other tank.
Are you able to take a screenshot of what the gold weapon looks like and post it here?
There’s still 25 days left in the season and the shop rotates every week. They’re coming.
Can someone who buys this please show what the gold weapon looks like and post it here?
They say that if you avoid anything more than 3 people, the queue times become a lot longer.
…but who gives a fuck? That should be each individual’s choice. If they want to avoid more people and put up with longer queue times, cool, they should be able to. That decision shouldn’t be made for them.
Make it 8 avoid slots but warn players that queue times will be significantly affected if they have anything over 3 avoided players.
